Artist Story – Radha Kumari
Meet the Artist Behind the Art
Radha Kumari, a talented Madhubani artist from Madhubani, Bihar, has dedicated the past 8 years to the beautiful tradition of Madhubani painting. Her artistic journey is inspired by the rich cultural heritage, stories, nature, and traditional motifs of Mithila.
A proud alumna of Mithila Chitrakala Sansthan, Madhubani, Radha has developed her own artistic expression while staying connected to the traditional techniques and intricate detailing that make Madhubani painting unique.
A Journey of Tradition & Recognition
Radha Kumari has also participated in a 108-metre-long painting project associated with a world-record achievement, reflecting her contribution to large-scale Madhubani art and her passion for preserving this traditional art form.
Through every painting, she brings together vibrant colours, detailed patterns, traditional figures, nature, and Mithila's cultural stories. Her work is created with patience and attention to detail, making each piece a unique expression of Mithila's artistic heritage.
